The White House is betting so, announcing on the eve of Labor Day an executive order aimed at lowering the barriers for small companies to participate in multi-employer plans.
“This is mostly a problem at small businesses,” James Sherk, special assistant to the president for domestic policy, told reporters on a conference call previewing the presidential directive.
